Pre-race routine:

got up at 5 am showered ate a clif bar filled my fuel belt and left.
Event warmup:

hit the porta potties and walked around I knew it would be a long run so I didn't want to waste any energy

went out faster than I wanted to but was able to hold my pace. Planned on taking a gu every 40 minutes but they just didn't sit with me. Really started to feel it around mile 10. Turned the corner at mile 13 and said to the woman next to me thats the longest tenth of a mile i've ever seen. :) Didn't think I'd have enough for a final kick but managed to pass around 10 - 15 people in the last couple 100 feet :)
What would you do differently?:

start out slower and keep hr under control

very well run race. everything went of smooth. Will make this a yearly event. :)
