Comments:

Crowded start uphill on a closed course into a 90-degree turn at 500 yards makes for a slow get-away. First mile still crowded, but it thins as you run past stadium.

Event comments:

Solid no-frills road race enjoyed by 1000s over the years. Hilly course that travels through neighborhoods, the University of Virginia's Grounds, and the brick-paved pedestrian downtown mall.
