Pre-race routine:

met up with some maniacs beforehand after getting confused about where bag drop was.

Almost kicked a man that was sleeping over a grate - that woke me up.

Spent that last 5 minutes before the race trying to find Angela! She found me!
Event warmup:

walk to the race from the hotel (~2 km)
Run
  • 2h 14m 26s
  • 21.08 kms
  • 06m 23s  min/km
Comments:

I enjoyed this race. Going in, I thought it would be a "simple pace Angela to a 2:15 finish". I'm super glad that I didn't decide to "Race" it any faster. The last 2 km were really really tough. I think a 2:15 was a perfect goal for me for this race. Seeing all the maniacs out there was so awesome, it really made the race go by a lot quicker!!
What would you do differently?:

Not much.
Post race
Warm down:

err, stretched a bit, walked balk to the hotel

What limited your ability to perform faster:

IMLP, not enough good training since then.

Event comments:

A bit of confusion with "Metro Convention Center" and "Metro Hall" for the bag check.

I was a bit dissappointed that I was told "we don't have enough blankets for everyone" so I felt guilty taking one - yet, once I FINALLY got over to the food area, I was SO glad I had one!
