Pre-race routine:

Up at 0400. Coffee, muffins. Banana in apartment plus one just before the start.
Event warmup:

None as weather was ordinary and wanted to not aggravate back.

Comments:

1tth start at this event. Never had a wet race - until this year! Very heavy downpour 5 mins before the start when everyone is standing on the start line waiting in just shorts and singlet. And it was very windy at the same time so it was a relief to get running and warm up.

Fastest time here in 4 years and best ever age group % result.

Not much on race day.

Warm down:

Beer, walk back to apartment.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Followed training programme pretty closely. Think I just need more mileage (especially 'fast finish' long runs) to help reduce fading late in race.

Event comments:

11th time at this race. Every year it continues to improve in quality and organisation. Back next year for #12!
