Pre-race routine:

unusual time for a race so all usual stuff was off: got there, tried to maintain hydration, warm up etc

a little bit of a jog/warm up with a few strides-untimed

glad Gary got me to do this last minute; super fun and challenging, of course, as all 5K's are-if you pace them well and leave it all out there
What would you do differently?:

not wear the vapor fly's; the cliftons would have been a better choice

Warm down:

tried to run a mile cool down, but my ankle hurt so we walked it in after a 1/4 mile

What limited your ability to perform faster:

tired legs from biking long on Sunday

Event comments:

This is an EXCELLENT race! Love the series. Can't believe it's been 9 years since I did this the last time but I've been focused on Triathlon. bBg fun and challenging but the bridge course is worse, for sure.

Course: out and away into the riverfront; into the woods, out and in and in the mud...not ideal for the vapor fly 4%
