Run
Comments: 301/1531 females Felt really good. The piriformis on left was flaring quite a bit in the beginning but actually let up. Was freezing before the race but was actually a bit warm during--didn't want to give up my shell as the wind was bitter (NW 9mph). Had gloves on the first 4 miles then put them in my pocket as I approached the water stop w my Gu. Pulled sleeves over my hands the rest of the way. Post race
Event comments: Would have been a lot more fun it was just a little warmer and less windy, They had great food and music and photo ops but I just wanted to get home as I was so cold and damp and chilled to the bone. Very well-organized though. I liked this course better as a half than the full (too many hills) Last updated: 2019-11-13 12:00 AM

Woke at 4:53, made a protein waffle (half) only added egg. Covered w peanut butter and syrup. Banana w PB, some water. Wore pink long sleeve shirt w blue shell and UA pink stripe tights. Headband. Pink stretchy gloves. No glasses as so overcast. Had to wear gray windbreaker and black/red stripe sweat pants as so cold (37 degrees but felt like 29). Left the house at 5:45 to go pick up Ross and Forrest. Found a parking spot on the street on Miflin just 3 blocks from the start. David had his bike.
So windy, went into the tent and waited there/stretched. Had a vanilla Gu at 6:40 with a couple sips of water. Heard the Marathon start at 7 so walked over to the start line. Found Ross who went up ahead as I was back by the 2-hr finish sign.
