Run
Comments: Have done next to nothing since the marathon 4 weeks ago (this being my 3rd run since), so had no real high hopes (also still not feeling great from two days ago). Eased into the first mile, then tried to open it up a little in mile 2 to see what was there in the legs. The answer: nothing. Just kept it in cruise control at a somewhat tough (but not 100%) pace from there. Went a little nuts on the final downhill to try to pass one last guy, but he clipped me in the end. Oh well, proof I was at 100%. What would you do differently?: Really just did this for fun, so can't really comment on that. Post race
Warm down: Just walked around then got some junk food in the post race area. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training, not being 100% physically. I'm basically in offseason, just did this for fun and because some friends were doing it. Saw a bunch of people I knew so glad I stuck with it. Event comments: Really fun race, will look forward to a good performance when I come in well trained. Last updated: 2019-11-14 12:00 AM

Had a scrambled egg sandwich before getting dressed and head to the race.
No warmup, just stayed in doors until a few minutes before the start.
