Pre-race routine:

Got up early ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, did some light stretching and waited for ABQkid to pick me up.
Event warmup:

We showed up picked up our timing chips and stood around talking with ABQkid's dad, his brother's and their wives who were also running the race. Our buddy from Las Cruces was in town for a wedding so he signed up the day before and ran it also. Walked to the start line and waited for the gun.

Comments:

The run went really well. I was lucky enough to run with Amybunny for the whole race and talk to someone to make the time go by faster. Thanks Amy, and I hope I didn't slow you down too much. My coach wanted me to have a negative split for the second half of the run. When we finished I checked the Garmin and it showed I ran the exact same pace both laps, so at least I didn't slow down.
I set a new PB for a half mary beating my old time by almost 8 minutes so I was very happy.
What would you do differently?:

I think you can probably always push a little harder, but I wouldn't change anything.
Post race
Warm down:

Stood by the finish line and talked to People that had already finished and cheered for ones that were coming in. Talked to Pilgrim and Mrs. Pilgrim who didn't run this race, but came out to support us fellow Outlaws (Thanks to both of you for coming to the race). El Pinto restaurant provided breakfast burritos and of course Chips and Salsa to participants, so a few of us grabbed some food and watched the awards ceremony. Amybunny and ABQkid's dad both took third place in their age group, so congrats to both on taking home the hardware.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of GOD given talent...but I'm working on it.

Event comments:

Good race that is well organized. I'll do this one again next year.
