Event warmup:

Made the decision to swim without a wetsuit so I slid on my jammers grabbed my goggles and went for a warm up swim. Heart raced from the cold water- took a bit to acclimate but was very happy with my decision

Comments:

It's been 7 years since ive raced anything so inside I was nervous and excited. Took a few minutes to relax once the swim started but after first 500 meters I started to feel good and finished strong. Course was 1760 yards but my garmin had me at just over 2000. Looking at the upload I can see I was all over the place with poor navigation and it added an additional 300 yards lol

Event comments:

The contestants of this race are primarily the swimmers from the Belmont Masters program and the few youth & adult swimming programs around So Cal. Everyone was stoked to be at an event again- the mood was great everyone was friendly and the race was a good time for all
