Swim
Comments: Good swim. It was really cold but it felt good. No cramps. A bit lonely since we were jumping in as we finished the bike. Good chance to highlight my navigation as there weren't many people to follow. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 1
Comments: Different order, so N/A This was bike to swim. Not sure why it took so long - I was not really ready to jump in I guess. Bike
Comments: Lost my chain to the outside twice this time. Ugh. So annoyed. Was more strategic about where to stop and fix it. But very annoyed and was not able to ride more aggressively. What would you do differently?: Hard to get all of the Infinit down, because of so much shifting and climbing. Figured out to do it while climbing even though I'm not as well balanced. Transition 2
Comments: Really dead after this ride. No chance of having a fast transition. What would you do differently?: Could be more efficient. Run
Comments: Very hot. Took my own cup and did the run course correctly this time. There was a thunderstorm and they came out to the run course in a truck and told everyone to turn around and head back but I knew we were really close to the turnaround. Or at least less than a mile. So I decided if someone pointed at me specifically and pulled me off the course into a vehicle, I would comply. If not, I would go to the turnaround. I felt strong and didn’t think I would hold up the race staff because I knew I could pass some of the people who turned around. So that’s what I did. Three people finished behind me and I did the whole thing and I did not get struck by lightning. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Glad I did the whole thing. Post race
Warm down: Had to get the heck out because of storm. What limited your ability to perform faster: My own bike fitness and the shifting problems. Event comments: Great race - Glad to be done with #3. Very hard. Following the plan. Planning to eat what I planned and sleep. Last updated: 2022-05-23 12:00 AM

In between and AM and PM Olympic races, I followed my plan and ate 5 hard boiled egg whites, salsa, and oatmeal. I made myself some hot tea. I had to make everything very appetizing to get myself to eat it and calm down. I laid down on the couch in the RV and I was able to fall asleep for a little bit, which was great. I made sure to set my alarm and was happy I was able to leave my bike and wetsuit in transition between races. I also asked the bike maintenance guy about my chain dropping and he went into transition and got my bike and made an adjustment.
None.
