Pre-race routine:

3pm start so no need to get up early. drove from house around 12. got there 1h30 before start. Set up my stuff, had a chat with people I knew.

Doing this distance for the 2nd time. The goal was to beat my time from then (58:29)

Once I found my space after the chaos at the start, nothing to report, went according to plan.
my watch said 330m so a pace of just under 2 min. I can't do better than that right now

so Swim + T1 about half a minute faster - so far so good

that's where the fun ends. Had heavy legs, couldn't get going and when I got passed by 2 girls, I gave up trying.

Really unhappy about my lack of willpower. Did a brick the day after (20k+3k) and ran the 3k in 16 minutes so it's not the legs or the lack of condition, it's my stupid head.
