Swim
Comments: Placed myself just behind that fast girl I know and benefited from her draft for a few seconds then she was gone. Found other feet though and managed to keep a good pace My best time over 400m, over one minute better than 2018 Transition 1
Comments: took a little while to get out of my wetsuit and it felt like a slow T1 but 5 seconds faster than 2018 and Gold Medal overall. Did I mention I am the Queen of T1? What would you do differently?: not sure what happened with the suit so I don't know Bike
Comments: according to plan (which is to average 30k/h). a little slower than 2018 but no big deal (11 seconds) Transition 2
Comments: Felt like a slow T2 and it was, 5 seconds slower than 2018 and 7th time overall What would you do differently?: not sure. Run
Comments: Most pleased with the run, even if it was much slower than 2018 (45 seconds). Got sight of a girl who passed me on the bike at around 3k into the run (just as I passed my house) and tried to catch up with her. I didn't catch her up but I didn't give up and ran the last 2k under 5 min/km. Post race

My home race, 7th Edition. I've done them all (except the first one when I misstook race nerves for a cold). Won it in 2018. Goal was to beat that time (1:16:28). I knew I was not going to win as there was a women I know signed up, whom I knew would be 10 minutes faster

Woke up at 7, walked to the site with dog to pick up my start kit (told my annual joke, "Oh yes, the dog is also racing, she runs faster than us all and she's a good swimmer. Terrible on
the bike though")
Came back around 9-ish
My usual warm up: a little run, a little stretch, a little swim
