Powerbar about 30 mins pre-race. Roctane GU about 15 min pre-race.
Event warmup:

Nothing. No strokes in the lake. Rode my bike a bit an hour before, but that was more of a mechanical test.

Felt like I was loosing my breath about 1/4 or 1/3 of the way in, so eased up a bit.

Not much - just not swim trained right now!

Struggled with putting on thin long sleeve shirt while wet because it was chilly. Good call, but just slow in T1 because of it.
What would you do differently?:

I don't think I'd swim in a long sleeve shirt, so wouldn't do much different.

Saw a PT guy there to work on my sore left butt cheek. He worked a few areas gently. Then a bit of random stretching.
