Pre-race routine:

Arrived two hours early to find a good parking spot. Went to check out the start and finish lines, walked around the venue, hung out in my corral, met with my stepson, who was doing the race but in a different corral.

Comments:

I can't recall ever running a race without stopping. I felt like I was running on air. I was seriously undertrained, but my shin splint wasn't bothering me and I had plenty of stamina.
What would you do differently?:

Train a little more.

Warm down:

Walked around, drank water, ate a granola bar, met up with my stepson.

Event comments:

This was the race I needed to feel alive again.
