Run
Comments: Last race of a sub-par season (especially running) so the original goal was to finish under 60 minutes but when I got to the starting line, I felt great and pumped up so I changed it to 55 New plan was to go as fast as I could for as long as I could. I had written in last year's RR that the first 3k where flat and easy, the next 3 more up and down and the last 4 easier again (thank you 2023 Nat). For a time of 55 minutes, the average pace per km was to be 5:30minutes. First 3 around 5:20, great. Then it got hilly and I slowed down a lot uphill and caught up some of that time downhill. Many people were passing me on the ups, only for me to pass them again on the way down. Didn’t manage to go back to a 5:20 pace when the flat bits came back, as I was getting tired but I kept going as good as I could and didn’t give up, which I am very happy with. Finished i 55:12, which is far from my BP (51:22 last year) but it's a very good result for this season. What would you do differently?: Nothing on this race. Perfectly executed. Post race
Warm down: Joined my mates from the running club to share a picnic with them. Event comments: An event organised every year to raise awareness around blood donation. There are about 20 events from May to September everywhere in Sweden. 3rd time in my town. A lot of people run or walk 5 or 10k. Fun atmosphere. Last updated: 2024-09-05 12:00 AM

Picked up my number and walked/jogged/wrestled my way through the masses to try and find where my running club had set up camp. We were about 40 people from the club. Fun!
Not much, ran to the toilet and back, some stretches and stuff.
