Run
Comments: Energy started to fade at mile 8. Was running with the 3:40 marathon group for most of the race. Felt great up until then. I just ran out of energy. Was swinging my arms and trying to throw my legs forward to stretch out my stride... they just wouldn't work for me. What would you do differently?: Train harder. Skip the race if I am sick the week prior. Post race
Warm down: I collapsed. =) Laying on the astro-turf of Ford Field was awesome though. How often will others get to do that? What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training, need to work on maintaining my energy level throughout the race. Event comments: The music at various stages of the race was very uplifting! The spectators were great and the weather wasn't as bad as it had been during the week prior. The wind sucked at certain stages, but it was bearable. I wish I was smaller and could have hidden behind a few folks to keep the chill off me. Last updated: 2006-09-12 12:00 AM

Woke up early and drank water. Ate a protein bar and a banana.
Tried to stay warm and jogged around a bit. I felt great at the start of the race!
