Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 3:20 and was on the bus by 3:40am.
Ate a PB&J sandwich on the way to the race site. Brad and I walked the 1/4 mile or so to the tents and realized we were there TOO EARLY!
We found a spot to sit and just hung out until 5-something am.
Event warmup:

We hit the port-o-potties one more time before walking with the 1/2 to 3/4 mile with the rest of the 12,000 runners.
Ate a GU around 5:40am and then waited for the start.
The wheelchair athletes started at a few minutes before 6am and then Wave A was at 6:00 with our wave (B) starting at 6:10AM. It was still dark and they began the race with fireworks along with the characters at the starting line.

Comments:

It was so neat to be running in Disney that early in the morning and then watching the sun come up. Brad and I started out working on getting around people since it was very crowded at the start. We weren't too concerned with our time for the run, so it was OK we started out slow. They had several bands/DJs along the course to make things interesting. As we ran through the MK parking lot, you could choose whether you wanted to listen to country music or rock-and-roll. They had speakers set up in the lot and we ran down the rock-and-roll side.
We stopped and said hi to Marna and Earl before turning towards the Contemporary. We chatted for a few seconds and snapped a picture.
As we rounded the turn towards the park and then entered the park, we took a few more pictures (near Space Mountain, me pulling the sword out of the stone, us in front of the castle). We were able to use the restrooms in the park versus the port-o-potties which was nice.
We saw the floats they use in the parades which was cool before leaving MK.
We saw more DJs along with a steel drum band on the way back to Epcot.
We entered Epcot and then ran towards the lake before taking the U turn to the finish (we kissed for the camera-men and I hope it comes out).
As we ran past mile 13, we rounded the corner and saw the finish which was kind of crowded. I was being playful - looked over my shoulder and smiled at Brad before I sprinted to the finish, dodging around people. I ended up "beating him" by 2 seconds! :)
What would you do differently?:

Had some hip pain for most of the run, so I probably should have gotten it looked at.
Other than that, maybe I would have taken more pictures!
Post race
Warm down:

Grabbed some water and then ran into fitphd, trixie and trigods after going through the Goofy wristband tent. Chatted with them a bit before heading to meet Marna and Earl to head back to the hotel.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Hip pain and the heat.

Event comments:

Growing up going to Disney, it was awesome to run through the parks and was even better that Brad and I ran together!! Some parts were a little boring, but the bands/DJs and characters were fun and distracting.

Course: Course started near Epcot, took us over the highway where we ran on the exit ramp and then headed north towards the Magic Kingdom. We then ran through the MK parking lot and turned right towards the Contemporary hotel. We ran past the Contemporary before turning left at Space Mountain to go into the side entrance of the Magic Kingdom. We turned right down Main Street before going through Tomorrowland, running through the castle and then into Frontierland. We exited the MK after we ran behind the scenes a bit and saw some of the floats they use in the parade. We then headed back towards Epcot, up the exit ramp and turned towards Epcot. We entered Epcot, ran past Spaceship Earth towards the lake in which the countries are around. We did a U turn and then headed to the finish which was right outside the park.
