Run
Comments: Beautiful morning for a run What would you do differently?: Start increasing pace with 3/4 miles left, instead of 1/2 mile left. Post race
Warm down: Grabbed a bagel, but had to leave soon to get to neice's birthday. Tried to stretch a little, since Stonebridge Ranch is the next day. Event comments: I didn't know what to expect for a 'first annual' event, especially a church charity. However, I was very impressed. Lots of volunteers. *Every* intersection had someone there, plus plenty of signs and mile markers. Sound stage with an aerobics instructor getting people warmed up. Bagels, fruit, water, and donuts. Heck, even chilled dog treats for the canines. Main roads were barracaded, with a police lead and trail for the first/last runners, respectively. Water at 1/2 mile poitn and the mid-point. The only thing I could comment againts was that it was manually timed. But what do you expect at a small, local, first-year event? The turnout was less than I expected, but the quality of the event was top notch. I hope the event continues to grow over the years. Last updated: 2006-09-26 12:00 AM

Watched Beth walk/run the 1 mile event with the double jogging stroller.
Did some stretching and jogging warmup around the church. Wasn't feeling in good form or very strong during the jog, which was minorly distressing. Oh well.
