Comments:

Very good run overall. Had stomach discomfort which took me out for a few minutes. Felt fine most of the way - felt strong.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe develop a different training plan. Need to cross train when I am sick or injured. VERY sore after the race.

Warm down:

Just walking and climbing those dang stairs up from Ford Field!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Had some stomach issues around mile 8 until mile 11.5... unfortunately. This slowed me down by 4 minutes for the stop (had to wait in line) and put a damper on my pace. Oh well :( Was running a solid 8:30 until this happened.

Event comments:

My only issue with the race was the post race food spread. We didn't have a lot of choices on what to eat and they gave us a banana and an orange in a bag. Some other family members ran the marathon and by the time they finished - around 4:30-5:30... the food was just about all gone. My poor mom running her first mary got jipped for post race nutrition.
