Comments: It as been a good race overall. Probably my best race but also one of the most difficult. Everything was all right until the km 12 where i had a belly pain and my left knee began to suffer. I thought that i wasn't going ahead. I've tried to focus on my run and remembered all the time i spent training and the rest of the course was all right, a little bit slow but OK. I did my personal best on a ½ marathon all the way. What would you do differently?: Not eat Cliff Bar. Post race
Warm down: Stretching along the Promenade de la mer with my wife, my 2 child and my parents... Great support... What limited your ability to perform faster: I fixed my goal to do the ½ marathon under 2 hours. I did great in 1:53:47 and I'm satisfied. Event comments: I recommend that race. Wake-up at 6:30 and had a little breakfast (peanut butter toast, cheese toast and a coffee). Went to the tent for my timing chip at 7:45. And had a warm up at 8:00. I've eaten half a Cliff Bar 20 minutes before the race and I burped it all the run long... I'll never eat that again...
Warmup with my wife (who did the 4.2 km race)for a 5 min run along the St-Lawrence River.
