Comments: Very choppy, 2 foot, uneven waves, first open swim. Drank a lot of lake water, but did, at least, get through it! What would you do differently?: Work on relaxing more, getting into a rhythym--impossible for first time, I think. Transition 1
Comments: Had a little trouble getting into shoes. Helmet, gloves, glasses, no problem. Forgot to put on bike shorts, but remembered before left the staging area. What would you do differently?: More systematic about putting on bike gear. More care in putting on gloves--it was mile 8 before I realized I had two fingers in one finger hole. Bike
