Swim
Comments: Not too bad for me. Felt good whole way. Out fo pool not feeling too winded. What would you do differently?: Not much, just continue to work on form and speed. Transition 1
Comments: Ok, so now it's time to start working on transitions. Much too slow. Wasn't sure how many layers to wear, ended up with two. What would you do differently?: I'm not sure what to do to get faster. In warmer weather putting on layers won't be an issue. Bike
Comments: Average biking for me. I am certainly consistent in my pace, I'm not sure what I need to do to get that up to 17-18 mph. 1st half of loop slow uphill grade with one smaller hill and one pretty good hill. Last half of the loop was nice, able to go pretty good without much effort which allowed me to save my legs for run. What would you do differently?: Not alot, I would just like to see that pace improve. Transition 2
Comments: See T1 comments What would you do differently?: It is amazing how much time can be lost in transition. Run
Comments: For me this was my best run yet. Mile splits by my garmin =10/25/10:08/9:08. My first mile may be as good as my second two, effort wise. That was a fair uphill grade almost the entire 1st mile. Finally got my average pace less than 10/mile, (slow, but progress for me). What would you do differently?: I thought this was a pretty good run for me. Overall pleased with maybe some progress. Post race
Warm down: Walked around, loaded up on furit, water and bagels. What limited your ability to perform faster: I'm slow. Event comments: This is a fund raiser for local swim team so good cause. Small event but really quite well organized. Weather held out better than I had hoped though a little cool, at least it was dry. I got a pit in my stomach thinking that this was my last race for the year-yuck! I love these things!...And then there is my daughter. Probably the only tri I will beat her in. Get her a road bike and she is going to be great! 1st in Womens Jr division-She is awesome! Last updated: 2006-10-07 12:00 AM

Got up at 5:15, ate breakfast and left w/ my daughter (14 years old-1st close to sprint distance tri for her). Rained hard on drive down, I was beginning to wonder how the weather would be, no rain last half hour of drive!
A little bit of everything w/ bike, run and a short swim. I felt like I had a pretty good warm-up. Stood around a bit too long, but I always like to get there early enough to set up transition etc.
