Run
Comments: Frustrating start & 1st mile or so- I will never understand why people do not seed themselves correctly- if you are running a 10+ pace & are walking before the 1st mile marker should you BE in the 8 min seed group!!??Just doged & weaved first 2 miles- knew very slow due to crowd..gradually just increased pace and found openings....taking in the whole deal..didn't really push til made turn down to the finish.. What would you do differently?: Seed myself in 7 min mile instead of 8, bring own drinks...,do splits on a watch Post race
Warm down: walked long corral- drank a smart water..then had some chips & an apple, banana..wee bit of stretching..then cruised the expo..checked out time ..met up with running friend who was trying to find her husband..chatted a bit.. Event comments: The history & energy of this all women's race is cool- the schwag is good ..the atmosphere is positive..I get jazzed at the underpass where the music is loud- and the spectators are neat..the course itself -downtown Boston along the river- is way cool. Today the day was like a summer day-clear & beautiful..The only negative about this race is the crowded conditions..they even had enough porta potties this year! Last updated: 2006-10-08 12:00 AM

Busy & stressful morning-had coffee & cinnamon toast, few bites of peaches & yogurt..left later than planned but got into Boston Common by 11:15 ..
listened to tunes & sipped powerade on the way in
had to find # then wait in line for chip & t-shirt..back to car to drop off goody bag-to porta potty..ran into my running friend & her husband..pretty wierd in a crowd of 7000 runners plus families..
no real warm up- walked to the seed are- should have gotten int he section ahead tho..
