Comments: A PR for me. 1st 1/2 under 2 hrs!!! ![]() Post race
Warm down: Lots of post-race aid stations with water stations and the usual goods. They also had some Krispy Kremes (guilt free) What limited your ability to perform faster: I train with gel intake every 40 minutes on 2+ hour endurance events. Due to poor timing on my part, I missed my 2nd gel opportunity as I chatted with another runner right through an aid station. I even had my own gel strapped on (just missed it). My body was fine till the last 2 miles and they were way tougher than mile 12 and 13 normally feel like. Event comments: Can't complain, its Cola's only 1/2 every year and we could do a whole lot worse. Other than a gaggle start, pretty good overall. Last updated: 2006-10-15 12:00 AM
