Run
Comments: I started off very conservative and ran about an 11:00 mile the first mile :) I settled into a decent pace of 10:00 miles after that and ran steady the rest of the race. I felt fantastic the whole race and never suffered- not even a little. Kept good steady breathing as well What would you do differently?: Very little. I took it easy for this race since I figure i'm a Triathlete and not a runner. This was good experience for the HIM I have in March Post race
Warm down: Walked and kept wrapped in the space blanket for a while. Drank water but the food line was way long, so I headed back to my car and ate some bananas I brought. Event comments: I think the organizers did a good job considering this was the first 1/2 marathon for LA Last updated: 2006-11-08 12:00 AM

Woke up at 3:45, had some coffee and toast. Left at 5:15 and headed to LA. Very windy in Orange County but wind was calm in L.A. Extremely cold in the morning- everyone was huddled in a huuuuuge group to keep warm!
