Run
Comments: Good run for a 5k. Went into Ox Debt a little early into the final mile owing to the last hill I had to climb. Wound up with pretty even pacing. I was training through this race and so did not expect a PB. (Only missed by PB by 16 Seconds) What would you do differently?: Manage the hills a bit better. Went out at the right speed but charged the hills a little too much toward the end trying to maintain pace. Post race
Warm down: Ran 14 Miles after the race to complete by scheduled Long Run. (Total of 17.1 Miles) What limited your ability to perform faster: Trained right through this race with no Taper. (Training for Wildflower in May) In spite of my level of fatigue and the difficulty of the course, I still ran at right about my V02Max. Event comments: Very good race to come and show what you have at this distance. The course is not easy, and the field is extremely competitive. (World records have been set here) Unless your PR is really soft, I would not come and expect to break it. Come definitely come and race, you won't be dissapointed. Oh, and the AG/Gender groups race in Heats. If you come with friends in different divisions, you will not be racing with them. I will be a spectator next year as this race is the day after IMCal but my SO and some friends will still be racing it. (So I will be a sherpa/cheering squad) Last updated: 2006-11-17 12:00 AM
