Run
Comments: My personal best today. It was a cold morning, so I knew I would feel pretty good. The 10k racers went first then we were sent off. I got out to about a 10min pace which is too fast for me, but i felt good so i hung on for about .75mi, then slowed to about 11:30. There was a man in front of me who had a prosthetic leg, and I really became both inspired and grateful (on Thanksgiving Day) at the same time. He cam in ahead of me, and he really kept me going. I felt great at the two mile mark but I still did not want to push too hard, because my MAIN goal was to complete the run without walking even if it was a 39min run. When I got to the track (the last 400) I knew I was home. I ran the track and got a PB and completed my goal. Best day of my training yet. I felt just right amount of tired when I got in. I had a little gas in the tnk at the end, but I am happy with my result. Happier than I could have imagined. What would you do differently?: Train more. Post race
Warm down: Squats, and stretched on the infield. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training Event comments: Well run race - music on the course. Plenty of close parking and lots of food after the race. Great atmosphere Last updated: 2006-11-22 12:00 AM
