My goal was to do sub 9 minute miles. And I did that both by chip time and my watch time. So I'm happy. Fastest ever first three miles. First time I've done 7:48 in the 1st mile in I don't know how long. So that was nice. Had to stop and use porta potty in mile 4 and I STILL managed a low 10 4th mile. Biggest issue was fighting the urge to stop and walk and I still did plenty of that. I think I managed to keep the walks at 5 breath or less though.
What would you do differently?:
Fight harder to keep running the whole time.
What limited your ability to perform faster:
Very nicely done. Lots of volunteers. Definitely do this one again and again and again.

upat 0600. Toast and coffee 2+ hours in advance.
Pretty low key. Walk around and enjoy prevent hype. Not big on pre-event warmups. Use the first mile of the race to ease into things.
