Run
Comments: Fun race! We lost Scott, who was doing the 5-K, on the first mile uphill. Joe, Denise and I ran comfortably together, chatting (well, mostly Joe was talking)...hee hee! We kicked it in during the last mile and charged up the hill at the end. A Northeaster was due any minute and mercifully, it didn't start raining till we had 1/4 mile to go. Unfortunately, the cold rain kept us from tailgating this year. What would you do differently?: nada -- had a great time! Post race
Warm down: walked around a bit, got a banana and my free apple pie Event comments: A smaller BT crowd than last year, but running with friends who have a similar pace makes running so much more enjoyable. Last updated: 2006-11-24 12:00 AM

Got up @ 5:45, had cheerios and berries and coffee. Woke up son 9-y-o-Nick @6:15. Nick was participating in his first "kid's race" this morning. Susan, one of our T-giving houseguests, decided to accompany us and cheer us on.
Got to the site and registered us. The Merrimack Striders, local running club, was volunteering at the site and were very friendly to Nick, making sure he had the right size T-shirt and all. Bumped into Joe. Headed over to track where kids race was happening. They divided the kids by age, so all the kids raced at different times and I was unable to find Joe and Scott, who have younger kids. Nick did great -- solid MOP. He was very psyched and it was fun watching him. Hooked up with Joe again, and met up with Denise and Scott. We all hung out waiting for the start, looking for Kathy.
