Run
Comments: I don't know if it was the shoes that I was wearing (I should've worn the Sauconys...more cushioning) but my hip hurt a lot in the last few miles. I told myself I wouldn't stop running, though, and I finished at a slow trot. My mental game was there, but my physical game was lacking. I'd rather have it that way than the other way around, though. For my first race, I can't complain too much since there's room to improve. What would you do differently?: Wear shoes with more cushion, save the ones I wore for 5Ks, ditch the long sleeves Post race
Warm down: Drank water and gatorade, ate a banana, stretched. What limited your ability to perform faster: Shoes, long sleeves in the heat, disruption of sleep schedule. Event comments: Good race, well put together, but I just wasn't on my game today. Luckily, there's another run next month! Last updated: 2006-11-25 12:00 AM

Got up at 0330 to go shopping the day before...that may have been what killed my run, but I had to take advantage of the sales!!! Ok, enough rationalizing. I got up, ate an english muffin, had some kool-aid, and headed out the door for the 45 minute drive to Stennis.
Stretched a little, jumped around to warm up my freezing toes.
