Run
Comments: Felt good about this pace. I probably could have pushed a little harder but didn't want to run out of gas since I was trying to keep up with Dan. I added my official results once they were posted. My place overall is only among women. What would you do differently?: Go faster? Seriously, I don't think there's much I would have or could have done differently. Except remember to start my watch when we started. Post race
Warm down: Walked up the hill to the nature center to get our packet, shirts and food. What limited your ability to perform faster: I wasn't born to be super fast but I have gotten faster. Now that I have a good base I can work on more speed work. Event comments: This is a fun race and overall I'm happy with my time. I improved my 10k time by 5 minutes from my last 10k in November. If anyone is considering doing this it's a great race to try to get a qualifying time for the P'tree. A fast and (mostly) flat race, highly recommended! Last updated: 2006-11-29 12:00 AM

My husband and I got up, got dressed and had a small breakfast. Drove to the race site, parked and waited in our warm car until closer to race time. Met up with Felix and we all walked to the starting line.
None to speak of, it was freezing and I knew if I ran around before the race then there was a chance I'd get chilled before starting. And I also knew I had 6 miles to warm-up.
