Pre-race routine:

Ate a bowl of cantelope, red river cereal, glass milk, banana, herb tea and drank about 600 ml e load.
Event warmup:

short stretch, 4 trips to the bathroom - but felt very well hydrated and properly nutritioned

Comments:

had a gel at 10 km and 20 km - felt properly fed and watered - gatorade at every station except with gels as above. wore short sleeved shirt, light running pants, compression shorts and arm warmers. arm warmers were on and off many times - wished i had cheap gloves pined to me for the last 5 km or so. had a through away fleece for first 10 minutes
What would you do differently?:

more hill training, but this is a tough one and it's just a good test of fitness

Warm down:

ate snacks, massage 2 days later, very painful

What limited your ability to perform faster:

my level of physical conditioning
