Swim
Comments: What the hell? I have no idea how I swam this slowly. I have never been this slow in any race I've ever done. The distance may have been a little bit off, but Jamie still managed 1:26/100m. I know my navigation towards the first turn was horrible, but it couldn't have added THAT much time. What would you do differently?: Well, the more I look at it, the more I think I was slightly slow and the distance was long. Only 4 people managed sub-1:30/100m. Still, I was slow. Transition 1
Comments: Long ass run from the water to transition, hence the long time. I was intentionally a bit slow here because I wanted to bring my heart rate down a bit before I got on the bike. Bike
Comments: Decent bike leg. I averaged 218 watts. I probably could have done a bit more, but with my lack of training, I'm satisfied. Lugging 8-10 extra pounds over the rollers definitely had an effect on my speed. Doing that wattage and not breaking 20 mph shows that something was going on. Transition 2
Comments: Got hung up at the line by a lady who decided to veer to the right while she stopped and dismounted. Since I was between her and the curb, it screwed me up a little. No biggie. Run
Comments: Ugh. 8:50/mile? Are you kidding me? Pathetic. No more words for that. Post race

Not much of one. Got up around 5:45, had some cereal and some Gatorade and headed for the race. I was surprised how many people were already there when I arrived. Transition had only been open about 15 minutes but it was already very crowded.
Jogged for about 10 minutes. Tried to stretch out a bit.
