Pre-race routine:

Woke up around 4am. Had a cliff bar, water, coffee, etc. Walked down to transition around 5am

Comments:

I started mid pack on the outside. Thought I had a straighter shot at the end bouy rather then following the bouy line up. I found a nice pace after the first 5min. I seemed to be around the same group of 4 or 5 people the entire swim. We took turns drafting each other until the last turn. I strayed off course a little and lost everyone...or I guess they lost me...
What would you do differently?:

Swim harder and sight better.

First time I saw the course, so I was a little timid going into the turns. I went thru a lot of water on the bike. I need to push a harder and take advantage when the wind is at my back

Only got the left foot out of the shoe. I didn't want to take my feet out of the shoes going over the brick. So just ran with my right shoe on

Well...I tried to pick up the pace a few times. Just wasn't happening. So found a pace I could handle and tired to hold on.

I enjoyed this race. First time at St. A's. It was fun with 4000+. Looking forward to next year.
