Pre-race routine:

Bib # 610

Woke up at 5AM. Got a coffee at 7-11 and picked up the buds. Ivanka, Frankie, Jalaine, Frank C and Al M.
Event warmup:

Jogged about 1/4m from the assembly to the start line. Stretched for 5 min. Nailed a Gu @ 7AM
Run
  • 1h 30m 51s
  • 9.4 miles
  • 09m 40s  min/mile
Comments:

Beat last years time by approx 15 minutes- so I must be happy about that. My left hip locked up at mile 4 and so the rest of the run was in a bit of pain. I got 1 blister on my left foot b/t digit 3 and 4 but it did not affect my performance.
What would you do differently?:

Not drink so much alcohol 2 nights before a race.
Post race
Warm down:

Had "crap" flavored water issued to me by Ralph. Man I love that guy (L).

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Same as always. If I listed it, you would have no reason to go see my other races to find out. Now GO to my other races to see what keeps affecting my ability to perform better.

Event comments:

This race last year probably had double the people. The race environment was not present this year although I had a great time with the buds.

It's nice anytime you enter race environment. The Turkey Trot MUST open a 15K distance.
