Pre-race routine:

Went to sleep at 10pm and woke up at 4. Went to the cafeteria and ate some cereal and toast. Walked over to the race start and talked with a few other people and watched the fireworks.
Event warmup:

Not much, walking around, a little stretching
Run
  • 2h 05m 4s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 09m 33s  min/mile
Comments:

The first six miles were good and was breathing ok. Passed and was passed by many Elvis's and the hotels were a nice distraction. But after turning back we ran into the wind. It felt like I was carrying a parachute and I had run out to fast so I probably walked about 3/4 to a mile on the second half of the race so I was disappointed in the second half.
What would you do differently?:

Pace better, run more before the race, and not taper as much
Post race
Warm down:

Cooled down by walking around and getting the picture taken.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

training

Event comments:

I think they forgot about the half marathon people because I didn't see mile markers and less water and entertainment.
