I ran this with marymosc13 and acted as a pacer for her. She was super nervous about running her first 5 miler and her first Central Park race but she kicked butt! We walked through each water stop, so that's great that we kept the pace that we did. What would you do differently?: Nothing! It was a great experience and I was happy that I could help another BTer. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Handed in our chips and met up with her family. We then walked over to the school to get our hot chocolate and bagels. :) What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing! Event comments: I'm glad Mary decided to run the race with me. I'm so proud of Mary for running her longest distance to date! She got through the hills and never gave up. Since I was still sore from yesterday's ride, I decided to not do my pre loop of the park. I had my picked up my number yesterday, so I didn't have to leave as early as I normally do. So, procrastination set in and then there was the mad scramble to get to Central Park.
Running from the train station to the park to meet up with Mary (MaryMosc11). Headed over to the 11 mile pace mark and called Mary. I also met her hubby, her daughter and her dog Bongo. Sunny (sunnyk) was also at the race. I tried to call him to maybe meet up with him but that didn't happen. He forgot his cellie in the car. Oh wells. Next time!
