Run
Comments: It was uphill ... both ways ... really ... but it wasn't snowing like the stories my dad used to tell me. A steady incline up to the dam and then rollers coming down with one pretty hefty rise. I pushed harder on this run ... even if it was just a 'C' race ... I guess I needed to prove that I could conquer the climb. What would you do differently?: Remember to breathe ... yeah! Post race
Warm down: Warm-downs aren't my thing so I sort of don't do them ... bad bad Becky. Today I felt like puking ... but I didn't. Jim was waiting for me at the finish line ... he was so proud of me. I grabbed some post race nutrition and then ... did I hear that right ... did someone call my name ... oh yeah ... I am a winner today! What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing ... I ran as fast as my little legs would carry me. Event comments: Community runs are fun ... and holiday runs are the best. There were groups with Santa hats on and lots of dogs. The weather was cool but the sun was out ... really a perfect day. I was pleased with my time ... the course was a challenge ... and I got a Runner's Roost gift certificate for coming in 2nd in my age group. Last updated: 2006-12-16 12:00 AM

Yikes ... attended a Christmas party the night before and stayed up way too late. Slept until 7:30 am ... jumped in the shower ... ate Muscle Milk 'n Oats for breakfast and out the door.
Jumped up and down a few times to warm up. Waited a little too long to hit the porta-potty ... I was still in line when they announced the race would start in 5 minutes ... I finally got my turn ... ran as fast as I could to join the pack ... then they announced the race would start 5 minutes late because people were still in line at the porta-potty!
