Swim
Comments: Walls took a lot of time and it got crowded quickly. I do much better with flip turns. What would you do differently?: Nothing. It's the only safe way to run a race in an indoor pool with 300 participants. Transition 1
Comments: I wasn't rushing at all. Wanted to make sure I didn't forget anything. Put on my shorts backwards over my wet suit. That must have looked funny! What would you do differently?: Put my shorts on correctly. Oh, and get a one-piece tri suit so I don't have to deal with putting clothes on when wet. Bike
Comments: My worst leg. Crashed in a tri when I was a kid, so I'm still very hesitant on the bike. What would you do differently?: Ride, ride, ride. Need to get comfortable again. Transition 2
Comments: Had a hard time getting bike gloves off. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Walked for a while to get rid of the gelatinous feeling in legs. Got a cramp in my side at about the halfway mark. What would you do differently?: Brick training. Drink more. Post race
Warm down: Banana, whole grain bread with peanut butter, water, stretching/walking What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training and side cramp during run. Event comments: Just a tune-up to give me an idea of how much more I need to train for the Iron Girl in August. Last updated: 2006-12-20 12:00 AM
