Swim
Comments: Swam all over the course! Definitely lost a lot of time getting back on track; felt pretty good on the swim; definitely tired and swallowed a lot of water, but found a decent groove What would you do differently?: Need to work on sighting!!! Need to increase my stamina. Transition 1
Comments: T1 was slow; need to improve my time, but not sure what to work on! Bike
Comments: Really enjoyed the bike!!!; was good to be on a nice, flat course; passed a good number of people; got passed by about 6 people; took the corners tight; butt hurt for the last few miles!; Go Team!!! :) What would you do differently?: Need to get stronger on the bike Transition 2
Comments: My T times are too slow! Need to improve them, but not sure what to work on! Run
Comments: Beginning of run was hard!; legs began to cramp up and couldn't stretch them because then the other muscles would cramp; someone screamed at me that i was cramping because i wasn't taking in enough water, but had a hard time drinking more; fluids bounce around in my stomach too much; felt better as run went on; stopped to drink for a few seconds at each water station, but not inbetween; ran most of the race with Ashley(?) TNT-mate, but was able to pull out at the end; Coach Scott was at beginning of run coaching/advising and at end pushing us harder; Coach Peter there too, and told another runner to "follow me in"; finished race strong, to many applauds and screaming, with announcer announcing my name and an incredible feeling!!! :) What would you do differently?: Need to learn to hydrate better so legs don't cramp, but without getting stomach ache; need to start hydrating during practice runs; Need to increase flexibility!!! Post race
Warm down: Didn't know where to go when i finished race! (Wish i had had a friend or family member there to hug... but will at NYC Tri!); checked in at TNT tent; signed up for massage; tried to stretch, but was too painful!; went to cheer on other finishers; saw an 89 year old man cross!; met Dave Scott; was in a lot of pain!; legs felt like they were on the verge of cramping! Event comments: First Olympic, and one of the greatest experiences of my life!!! Go Team!!! Last updated: 2006-12-21 12:00 AM

Up at approx 5am; no real breakfast available!, so grabbed bagel w/ PB, coffee, bananas, energy drinks; got to transition/body marking late, so set up in a hurry!; walked to swim start alone; TNT went in last four waves, so had a lot of time; had to go to bathroom but didn't and was fine during race; tried to relax; hung out with team and took a nap before warming up; stopped snacking about 1 hour before race
Tried to loosen up; took a little jog, but was barefoot; did a few warm up laps in the water after putting on wet suit; felt good
