Swim
Comments: I had a good swim. I was surprised where I ended up, in the middle to front middle of the pack. I haven't been in a pool (for more than 15 mins) in a long time What would you do differently?: Umm actually train before the race. Transition 1
Comments: T1 had some problems. I dropped my spare tube and had to run get it back. What would you do differently?: I realized that I had not setup well, I forgot to turn on my GPS before the race, I didn't have my HRM strap on, and I didn't put my gel by my bike. Bike
Comments: What a crappy bike. The first part of it was fine, but I got passed by so many people. Towards the end without my gels I was dying. I also had my chain come off going up a hill when trying to get into my small ring. Not a great day on the bike. What would you do differently?: Need more miles on the bike recently. Have gel and be aero more often. Transition 2
Comments: Not great. Rack was too full, I had to get told where it was since I wasn't the one who set it up, and my wife forgot to put my arm strap for my GPS there What would you do differently?: Get there much earlier and setup better. Run
Comments: My first lap was good. I'm surprised how slow my run was. I thought I did well but I guess I really slowed down at the end What would you do differently?: Run more. Post race
Warm down: I hurt, bad. Ate a burrito and some fruit and sat down. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training and preparation. Event comments: Even when I suck, this is such a good race. Last updated: 2006-12-23 12:00 AM

Ate some at the hotel, and drove to the race. We were pushing being late and I only got to setup my bike transition and not the run. My wife took care of the run transition
Got in the water and swam to the start. Took a hammer gel before jumping in
