Run
Comments: Its a great destination marathon... relax, run hard, talk to people along the course- its so diverse!!, and thank everyone that cheers for you and hands you water... dont save your energy by not thanking people or not smiling... I cant emphasize this enough....its part of the experience..if you are going for a personal best, chose another marathon....this one is about running with the cheers, the crowd, the beauty of paradise, and the aloha spirit Post race
Warm down: warm down? what warm down? hell, i was done running my first marathon ever! i cried with friends, ordered pizza and wine, and hit the hot tub! What limited your ability to perform faster: crowded start (slooooow first 4 mi) weak stomach towards mile 20 Event comments: LOTS of crowd support cheering crowd, soaked sponges at the water stops, and the aloha spirit carries you along the way and gives you the needed boost to go up and down diamond head twice! also, Hawaii is just breathtakingly beautiful Last updated: 2006-12-26 12:00 AM
