Run
Comments: This was my first marathon so I wasn't sure what to expect. I probably started out too fast but I felt really good even on the hills. My first 13.1 miles was about 1 hr 40 minutes and my last half was almost 30 minutes slower. I would have to say my pace really slowed down around mile 18 or 19. I hit the wall at that time and my legs were aching and cramping. At this point I knew I had a chance to qualify for Boston so I muscled through it. What would you do differently?: Probaby nothing...I am inexperienced when it comes to marathon running but I felt very successful despite my decline at the end. I think in the future I will work on pacing...and most likely my nutrition. Post race
Warm down: Nothing...after I crossed that finish line I was in pure agony! What limited your ability to perform faster: My cramping legs Event comments: Great race...it was very successful for me! Boston here I come! Last updated: 2006-12-30 12:00 AM

We spent the weekend at some friend's house just outside of Cincinnati! Amber, Terry, Scott, Wes and I were all up at 4am and out the door by 5am. I had my usual coffee, mini bagel with peanut butter and a cup of dry cheerios.
Found a parking spot downtown and walked to the start!
