Woke up around 6. Drank some gatorade, a couple cups of coffee, and ate clif bar.
Event warmup:

Ran approximately 1.5 miles from home to Cherokee Park for the race.

Comments:

My whole body had been pretty sore for a couple days, so I decided not "race", but to go out and put forth a solid effort. Happy with the pace I kept. Legs felt pretty heavy from the prior week's activities.

Warm down:

Ate a fruit bar and drank a bottle of water. Ran home, approximately 1.5 miles.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Sore body and legs.

Event comments:

This is part of a 3 race series (Polar Bear Grand Prix). These races very low key local events put on by the local Fleet Feet shop. Nice series of races, particularly since they are held in my neighborhood.
