Comments: Not my best effort and I need all the help I can get when it comes to running. I've just gotten over a really bad sinus infection and pretty much haven't worked out in two weeks...even so...I thought I would give it go and try my best. I immediately felt the effects of not drinking enough water the day before the race...I was dehydrated. Next time I should cut out the diet soda and go for the water! I'm slow to begin with but with more training I would have probably come in a little faster and been able to run more than I walked.......I pressed through the best I could and it was nice to see James on the final stretch...he came and ran with me to the finish...that was nice. What would you do differently?: Train more...focus more time on running......lose more weight and not get sick! :) Post race

Woke up around 6:30, had a banana and fig newtons. Drove to the race site to pick up packets and had some gatorade and water. Everything was really well organized and easy to find.....
Walked around, had some water, and stayed warm in the car while listening to some music.
