Swim
Comments: So that’s what a Great swim feels like. I finally go in a good swim with no issues. Felt relaxed, calm and confident. Just put one are in front of the other. I only went off course once and it wasn't that far, I was following someone else. I am so excited how well the swim went; I have put in a lot of time in the pool. With my past poor performance I was getting so frustrated and discouraged. Wetsuit didn't fill ristricted like before because I didn't have a shirt on unde the wetsuit. What would you do differently?: Swim faster, swim more and start working on stroke more swim with a masters group. Transition 1
Comments: T2 was faster than last year wasn't as tired. Everything went great even with not having a bike slot to hang my bike on. I had more room and that helped. Didn't need to have my gloves this year, last year I didn't have aero bars so numb hands from all the rough roads. Could have saved a few more seconds by skipping them. Felt really good after the swim, I had my wetsuit top off before I got out of the water and was able to run to T1. Wetsuit bottoms cam off fast also. Love the DeSoto!!!!!! What would you do differently?: No gloves, don't put everything in bag and let volunteers do it for me. Bike
Comments: Used my 23-12 cog, just because it was on the bike, didn't want to change it and get grease all over. I was a little worried that a 23 wouldn't be enough for the hills. Slammed the hills just fine with this setup, I couldn’t like to have to do a longer hill with this setup. Kept in aero for most of the ride less the hills. Was able to really fly on the bike and not feel tired. I dropped my water bottle and would have left it but my other one was empty. could of saved a minute. What would you do differently?: go faster and harder. Not drop water bottle. Transition 2
Comments: A little slower than last year (7 seconds). went smooth What would you do differently?: Not much get a better spot for bike and changing Run
Comments: Much better run. I felt great at this point I knew I was going to beat the 3hr mark. Kept a good pace and fueled. What would you do differently?: Run more and more bricks. I could tell that the track workouts helped a lot for the race. As always more bricks Post race
Warm down: watched others finish, walked around and talked with friends and my mom. What limited your ability to perform faster: slow down of training the past month, with vacations, ork and family being sick it all cut into my training. Event comments: Great race!!!! Sister Madona Buder was at the race and I got to visit with her and her frinds. It was fun to meet her. You get a to know her in the video of the Kona 2006 IM. Got to visit with Brad (bradword) again, I need to keep working hard to keep him from beatting me!!!!! Last updated: 2007-01-07 12:00 AM

Got up at 6:00am and had English muffins with PB. Took my pills for the day. Jumped in the shower and it felt so well. Drove to the race and sat on the bus for 20 minutes waiting fro some to bring the bus driver some shoes for some at the race start. Didn’t get to the race start until 20 before the start. Had to get T1 setup, get chip and marked and go to the bathroom and get wetsuit on and in the water in 20 minutes.
No warm up see above.
