Carlsbad is a terrific place to stage a race...85% of the run is along the Pacific Ocean. A rolling course that is actually sort of challenging. What I am most pleased with was that I stayed "comfortable" the entire run. I was relaxed and knew I could have gone harder, but chose to "hold back" as I have another 1/2 marathon on Super Bowl Sunday...I may put the "hammer down" for that race...
