Comments: The run was good. The first half was fast but not too fast. What would you do differently?: Get fit before the event. Take GU every 45 min. (Hit the wall after I waited too long) Put on more vaseline around HRM. Learn to walk fast. Post race
Warm down: Took a message. It was very relaxing. Still hard to walk out the hill to the car park. What limited your ability to perform faster: Fitness and speed. Got up early and ate Pronutro. The milk boiled and spoiled the pronutro :(
Did pack everything the night before and only had to put on the clothes and eat.
Had new socks, new bra, new sweat band, new short. (Was scared, but none of these gave a problem.)
Went to the port-a-loos for the first time. It was very nice actually.
We got there early and the parking was very far from the start so we had a quick walk. They forgot the club tent so we huddled together.
We walked for 100m and jogged it back. Not really wamr up, but it calmed the nerves.
