Comments:

Went out too fast. First mile was 6:23, should have been about 6:55. Second mile suffered at 7:23 and third mile was just as bad. Still finished in a hair over 22 minutes though. Not a bad 5K for not running one in over 4 months. Still good enough to take fourth place in AG, hardware went 5 deep. Another nice plaque to hang on my wall. :)
What would you do differently?:

Pace myself better. Still run under 7 minutes per mile, but a lot closer to it so I don't wear myself out in a mile and a half.
Post race
Warm down:

Drank some water, had a beer. Then ran out to meet Terri to pace her in the 10K which started about 4 minutes before I finished my race. Ran with her for three miles, then ran another mile with Lorena, pacing her to her first sub-10 minute mile!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My first mile.

Event comments:

Well-organized and well-appointed race. Lots of post-race food...rice with teriyaki chicken, bagels, fruit, beer, soda, Gatorade. Good stuff. Free massages. Gotta love it.
