Pre-race routine:

Picked up friends and left their place around 8:30. Got to Burlington about 9:15 and spent a bit of time getting a parking spot. On the way down had an Xl coffee (decaf).
Event warmup:

Walked from truck to the start, pretty well that was the warm up. A little bit of stretching at the start line.

Started pretty well at the back of the pack.

Comments:

Felt good the first 10k, but fell off the rails after a pee break and couldn't get the rythm going. Also, lack of training definitely has an impact. Also, running on expired shoes doesn't help.
What would you do differently?:

Don't have the XL coffee, of if do, ensure to have pee before the race starts. Also, spent sme extra time breaking in new shoes.
Post race
Warm down:

Walking around and to the host hotel for Chilli. Then back to the car, then back with the gang for coffee and they had the Chilli

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Pee break at about 10k. Usually I can run with out the pee break. This time due to the 6 people in line for the portapotties, their was a bit of a wait, once done, I found it difficult to get a good rythm going again.

Event comments:

Great organization and well run race.
